I found Learn and Play very difficult to do during work time. I don't have a computer at home. I do blame learn and play for my new addiction to myspace. Is that fair? Probably not, but oh well.

Checked out e-books. I don't have a computer at home so this service is no help to me.

tool box

Checked out the CML tool box. The only things I was interested in where the sites I have already visited.

I found Pandora easier to use than the website Last. I didn't have much time to explore the sites since I am supposed to be working.

google docs

Google docs is no use to me in my current position. If I was running my own business or even in public service, maybe. I'm not interested or impressed by this site.

How annoying!! I couldn't add my blog to the list. I think I did manage to screw up the cml page. Anyway, I have found that this learn and play project has made me more against spending time on the internet. There are some cool things but I really dislike blogging. Why is anyones opinion so important that I should read their blog? I would rather have information than opinions.

library 2.0

Well, personally I feel libraries are really going to have a rough time in the years to come. As more and more information is digital, there will be little reason to borrow items from a library. I feel that the library will have to focus on more programs for children and young adults.

I can see how this would be a good site for searching and bookmarking research items. I just found it awkward to use and I'm tired of logging onto a bunch of sites. How many log ons and passwords can I really remember?

Time

I have found it very difficult to find time to browse the other CML blogs. Most of the learn and play projects I have done have been very rushed. I don't own a computer and can only spend limited work time on this project.

Well...I tried Twitter. Not really interested in it at all. Not my thing.
The image stuff is pretty cool. Can take a lot of time. Library page not so interesting.

If you are not already aware there is a great website- www.pandora.com that I am now completely addicted to and can not spend enough time on. Just type in a band name and they play songs by other bands which are similar.

Technology headache - please help

Hey,
I have had more trouble adding my info to the cml tracking page than I have creating my blog or my trading card. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Also, if anyone reads this please tell me how to respond to people who leave me comments. I'm confused about that and I would like to correspond with them.

ok, I received comments on my page and that was pretty cool.
So, I guess I have to admit that there might be some value to this blogging thing. Oooo...I hate giving in to technology. I was the person who said I would never buy CDs. Vinyl forever. Oh well, maybe this will help me grow as a person and talk to people I otherwise never would have even met. I admit that's cool.

And the point is...

Well, I have this fancy blog page, but I really don't understand the whole point of blogging. Am I so important that people really care what I have to say... or type...or blog? I really wish someone would explain why this is so cool. I don't have a problem with new technology, but yet I don't understand why everyone is so jazzed to play x-box against people in China.
I guess I am just the kind of person who likes to keep to herself. I like my Nintendo DS. I like to read. But...I just don't get this blog thing.

P.S. Please spay or neuter your pet.

Required blog

Ok, I watched the video.
First, learning can be fun. That is, when we are talking about learning something we really want to learn.
I find that it is easy to discover something new everyday. We work at the library, so there is really no excuse.

I listen to non-fiction books as well as fiction titles. I also listen to the Teaching Company's lectures on disc series. I highly recommend the series on Ancient Egypt.
